Sew Mama Sew Giveaway! $20 Fabric.com Gift Certificate and Surprise!

OMG! I did not know about the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day! I don't even have time to enter all of them and read all the wonderful posts!!!

I have to participate! I'm doing this on the fly! Sorry I'm getting in so late!

I'm going to give away a $20 gift certificate to fabric.com. It's my favorite place to shop! I am also going to throw some stuff in from my stash :) The gift certificate will come by email, so make sure I have it if you are a no reply blogger. Before I get to how to enter, I just wanted to let you know I am still a Hexamaniac!

I've been trying to build up my twitter followers @AmateurQuilter so let's do this:

1. FOLLOW MY BLOG and leave a comment about it with likes and dislikes (colors, prints, traditional, modern, anything you can think of). This will help me choose something to "throw in" to a package. Remember, the gift certificate will be purchased by me on fabric.com and it will come to your email. The package will come snail mail.

2. Follow me on twitter and leave a comment stating that you do.

So far you get 2 entries.

For extra entries do not leave a comment: Copy and paste the following into a tweet:

#fabric #giveaway @AmateurQuilter @SewMamaSew @fabric2go Fabric.com $20 gift certificate http://goo.gl/6xYj3

You can do this once a day for extra entries. I will keep track of them and add them in with the comments.

I will ship internationally and it ends Friday, May 25th at 8 pm Eastern Time.

Hope you all are enjoying the giveaway week!

Until next time,

Mike.

You're only "fashionably" late..and honestly, who's ever late when they come bearing great gifts?

I'm a new follower.

Likes...hmmmm....I suppose modern- black and white clean lines like Summersville and The Ghastlies (favorite ever) prints. I do love the colors pink and orange together and make next quilt project will be a citrus theme...lemons, lime and cherry colors, I think.

I think the 'amature' aspect is very appalling. As an amature quilter my self I am looking for the tips and tricks to get to the place of the fantastic quilters that I love admiring the pictures on their blogs.

Great giveaway Mike! I am already a follower.
Likes: I love blues, purples, greens but I'm warming up to warmer colors. I need to diversify my stash. I love modern prints.

Dislikes: Not really a fan of stripes or large dots.

I love that you are doing hexagons. It will be a while before I work up the courage for that but I love the shape.

Great giveaway! I love tropical colors...lime, teal, bright yellows...but lime is myall time favorite colr! Thanks!

Thank you for the lovely giveaway. Please enter me into the drawing. We are collecting greens for my mother's next quilt - Field Greens. She has green Dimples from Andover - so shades of green like that in light and dark values. I am working to acquire blues and purples (think of the colors of Terrain).
P.S. I am making hexie flowers for a GFG. We purchased a scrap bag from a Haven Hospice thrift shop that had the exact fabric you are using in your last two hexie photos - the green background with bright pink/orange/blue/yellow daisy flowers. I've made hexies with that fabric too! Such a coincidence...

Deb said...

I love reproduction prints for hexies. I also am a bit hooked on them right now. I am going to start sewing some up in reproduction prints for a quilt top. For colors, I love aqua, red and pink. I like traditional with a modern spin. I don't like edgy. Thanks for the giveaway and your hexagons are lovely!

Mike Pearson said...

What is GFG? I keep seeing that :) I'm still new at this!

I am a new follower--I want to start working with solids.

I am a new follower -- it's nice to find a newer quilter because I am extremely new to the 'sport.' I've pieced one tabletop throw and am working on a wall hanging, with no good idea what to do after the piecing is done. So I value seeing your work and progress!

Heather said...

Hi! *wave* I don't know a darn thing about hexies and I'm a little terrified of the idea of hand piecing an entire quilt, so kudos to you. When I need some handwork I do needlepoint. Maybe someday I will try out this English paper piecing since it seems to be very popular and potentially quite fun.

I've recently fallen in love with batiks. I know they're old news but for a long time I thought they were too expensive to use in anything, but at my local shop they're now about the same price per yard as any other bolt. So my latest quilt is almost completely batiks. I'm not much of a fabric line person (yet!).

gpc said...

I'm also a new follower on twitter, and I tweeted!

I'm a follower :) I tend to vary on likes and dislikes...traditional vs. modern (though, I've been sewing with modern fabrics and tutorials a lot lately) As for colors, blue, green, red, a heck, I love the entire rainbow!

I am a new follower. I like bright, fun modern prints. I like all colors, but nothing muted, drag or greyest down. Thanks for the fabulous giveaway!

I am a follower who likes bod, graphic design. I like lots of blues and grays - not much on florals.

I'm following your blog. As far as likes/dislikes, the only thing I don't like is very large prints (I make soft toys/plush/stuffies not quilts, so giant patterns don't always work out well).

These giveaways are so fun. I love finding more "amateur" folks. (and I hope to be able to offer something in the next giveaway!)

Just became a new follower! I love fabric.com - they are the best! I like modern fabrics - graphic/geometric type prints. My stash is sorely in need of reds and purples, but blue is my favorite color. Thanks for the giveaway (my follower name might say MN2NM, I changed my Google ID but can't seem to figure out how to fix that!)

Honestly, I hate vintage! I love red, or blue, or white, black, gray, pretty much anything but yellow or purple. I guess I'm pretty picky!

I'm your newest follower! (Can I make a confession? I don't even know how to "tweet". I'm 26 and technology's escaping me already... I'm going to be SOL come 50!)
I'm not a picky fabric person! I have a particular affinity for halloween novelty prints for some reason... but really go for anything! I still haven't figured out how to incorporate batiks into life, though.

I am a new follower. Likes, hmm-- I like modern and contemporary fabrics especially, but really am open to most things, though I'm not huge on novelty prints. Batiks and blenders are great too. Geometrics are awesome. Colorwise, I trend towards liking cooler colors and earth or jewel tones-- not super into pastels. Thanks for this opportunity!

I'm a brand-new follower, and the idea of $20 to spend at fabric.com is thrilling!

I like modern fabrics, as well as Civil War repros. (How's that for eclectic?) I like the bright cheeriness of American Jane, and Kaffe's colors and shapes. As far as dislikes, I can only think of neon colors or Halloween themed fabric. Love pre-cuts, since I tend to be an unintentionally wonky rotary cutter.

Happy Giveaway Day to you!

New Follower thru GFC here. How about Facebook and not just tweeting? The only style I don't like is Asian, Neon and major Country colors. I rarely buy holiday themed fabric either. I love hexies too and always have a bag going as well as a couple of quilts that just go on and on.

Josie McRazie said...

I follow already. I LOVE the hexis! I am pondering the idea of delving into EPP! But I don't yet know if I am brave enough!

Lindsay said...

I'm a new follower on GFC! I have a little boy who is almost 3, so I like colors and prints that are good for little boys, like dinosaurs, bikes, wagons, airplanes etc (his room has a sorta nautical theme, like a pirate ship/lighthouse kinda thing going on). My favorite color is hot pink, but I decorate more with gold/sage green/maroon!

Lindsay said...

I follow you on Twitter now as @CrunchyConMom! I'm really close to my follow limit though, so I would LOVE a follow back :)

Hi Mike, I am visiting as you are a follower on my blog so I am now a follower on yours!
Good to see someone else has been bitten by the hexie bug.
I find my stash sadly lacking yellows if that helps, tending towards modern these days.
Thanks for the giveaway.

Favorites right now are Flea Market Fancy, Tula Pink, Curious Nature, Pezzy Prints, and so many more. (I'm a bit of a fabric junkie.)
Now a follower.

Mike, I am so enthralled by men quilters! I just love it! I try to tell my husband he would probably like it and he did admit that he would but he has enough hobbies and not interested in adding another. I am beginning to get into modern quilting, but I'm still a vintage person as well! I love anything 30's.
Thanks for participating in the giveaway! I'm bookmarking your blog!
